At the end of 2014, we polled our readers to find out which Nashville bars are their favorites, and we think they are sure to be new favorites of yours as well.

1. 12 South Taproom

12 South Taproom sits in a quaint, hip neighborhood, south of downtown where they have been offering patrons a rapidly rotating tap list of primarily local and obscure brews since 2006.  Their warm neighborhood feel, friendly staff, and laid-back porch make for a welcoming place to grab a beer with friends. Drop by at 2318 12th Ave S, Nashville, Tennessee 37204.

2. Flying Saucer

Sitting alongside Nashville’s historic Union Station and catty-corner to the Frist Center For The Visual Arts, Flying Saucer is the perfect location to hang out downtown without being subjected to neon lights, country music, and cheap yellow fizz.  In fact, Flying Saucer offers 80 taps – yes, 80 taps – of primarily local, regional, and craft beer - Oh, and ask for the free dill popcorn.  Flying Saucer is located at 111 10th Ave S, Nashville, Tennessee 37203.

3. Craft Brewed

Craft Brewed has it all – Maybe that’s why it has been a local favorite.  Owners Chip & Maggie DeVier opened their cozy and unique shop in 2012, and it has been a staple of Nashville’s growing craft beer scene since.  Craft Brewed offers twenty-one taps with on or off premise consumption, allowing patrons to enjoy a pint in the bar or take a growler home for later.  In addition, they have a large selection of bottles, both in the bar as well as next door in their, High Gravity / Wine & Spirits shop.  If that wasn’t enough, Craft Brewed also sells brewing supplies and offers classes for those who would like to brew at home.  Check out Craft Brewed at 2502 Franklin Pike, Nashville, Tennessee 37204.

Honorable Mentions:

Broadway Brewhouse & Mojo Grill

Nestled comfortably between Vanderbilt and Downtown in the lively midtown neighborhood, Broadway Brewhouse & Mojo Grill offers a wide variety of craft beer along with an eclectic food menu.  Their neighborhood pub feel makes it a perfect spot for watching sports, socializing, or to just have good food and drink.  Visit them at 1900 Broadway, Nashville, Tennessee 37203.

M.L. Rose Craft Beer & Burgers - West

Before there was M.L. Rose West, there was M.L. Rose – And before there was M.L. Rose, there was Melrose Pub, a neighborhood bar south of downtown in the Melrose / Berry Hill neighborhood.  After the success of the original location, a second, larger location opened in 2012 on the quickly developing Charlotte Pike in West Nashville.  The new location has thirty taps of craft beer that are rotated seasonally along with an extensive food menu, and what some people arguably declare the best burger in town.  Visit M.L. Rose West at 4408 Charlote Ave, Nashville, Tennessee 37209.

6. The Hop Stop

Located on busy Gallatin Road, The Hop Stop has been enthusiastically welcomed by locals and have already become an east-side staple.  The Hop Stop features 36 taps of local and unique drafts.  Visit them at 2909B Gallatin Pike, Nashville, Tennessee 37216.
