Help Fund Mill Creek Brewing Company

Time is running out for Mill Creek Brewing Company's opportunity to raise money on Kickstarter.com to launch their brewery in Nolensville, Tennessee.  Their Kickstarter campaign ends tomorrow, November 5, and they have $47,725 to go until they reach their total goal of $110,000.  Last week we had the opportunity to meet with Mill Creek's founder / brewmaster, Chris Going as well as sample two of their beers and there are a few things about Mill Creek Brewing Company that you should know:

1. Their Beer Is Fantastic
We sampled Hopscotch (Session IPA) and Lil Darlin (Wheat Beer), both of which were easy drinkers, but packed with flavor.  Hopscotch had an overwhelming amount of tropical fruit and citrus in the nose as well as the front end with a light pine flavor on the finish.  It was very crisp and clean, and not overly sweet.  Lil Darlin was light, wheaty, and had some nice citrus flavor as well.  It reminded us of a more robust alternative to Blue Moon, but a more sessionable alternative to Bell's Oberon.

2. Plan To Can
Who doesn't love cans?  Cans are great.  I mean, they can go anywhere, they don't break, and they keep light out.  Not only does Mill Creek Brewing Company have plans to can, but they plan to can as soon as possible.  That means you'll be able to find their beer on the shelves of your grocery store in no time.

3. Where Is Nolensville?
Look Nashville, we get it.  There is so much going on in our fair city that we often forget about our neighboring towns.  Nolensville is about 20 miles away in Williamson County and is home to the original Martin's BBQ.
