Nashville Public Library Hosts Pints & Puppets

Looking to expand your horizons?  Interested in drinking beer for a good cause?  Well, here's your chance.  The Nashville Public Library Foundation is partnering with The Black Abbey Brewing Company and String City for a one-off evening of country music, local brews, and puppetry.... Yes, I said puppetry.

They're calling the event, “Pints and Puppets,” and it is the first public event in support of The Nashville Public Library Foundation's  “Write the Next Chapter” community campaign to raise money for the Nashville Public Library system.  The puppet performance will be put on by String City and will chronicle the history of country music and Nashville’s rise as Music City USA. The show features more than 80 marionettes, hand puppets, rod puppets and shadow puppets as it showcases music icons such as Hank Williams, Dolly Parton, Alison Krauss, George Strait, and Taylor Swift.

The event is
Thursday, July 24 at the Main Library. The evening will begin at 6 PM. with a reception featuring local brewery Black Abbey, and will be followed by acclaimed puppet show, String City, at 7 PM.  For more information, visit the event page here.
