California Brewery Moves To Nashville

San Diego, California-based brewery, TailGate Beer, has announced that they have moved their operations to Nashville.  While currently working from a temporary location in Metrocenter, TailGate Beer plans to open a brewery in West Nashville.  There future home is located at 7300 Charlotte Pike in a 16,000 square foot building on 7.3 acres that was once home to a Moose Lodge.  The new space will feature a beer hall, picnic, tailgate, and event space, as well as an acoustic outdoor concert venue, a hop garden, and murals by local artists.  The outdoor space is slated for a soft opening in August with indoor venues coming later.  Currently, their beer is brewed at their temporary space, as well as at Mihas Craft Brewery in Wisconsin where it is canned.  It may be found at Frugal McDougal’s, Midtown, Filling Station locations, and Mapco stores thanks to a new partnership with local distributor, Ajax Turner.  Kegs should arrive at local bars soon and their beer will be available across the state of Tennessee in the next few months.
