DeSano Pizza Bakery To No Longer Allow Customers To BYOB

DeSano Pizza Bakery opened their doors in Nashville in 2012 and have quickly made a name for themselves with their delicious Neapolitan-style pizza, fun atmosphere, and BYOB policy.  Sadly, DeSano Pizza Bakery has announced via Twitter that they will no longer allow customers to bring their own beer, and will only allow wine moving forward.

Many customers took to Twitter to voice their opinion, much of which was in disappointment.  DeSano elaborated on their decision as well as responded to some feedback on the matter:

Personally, we love DeSano Pizza Bakery.  Their pizza is outstanding, their customer service is great, and the atmosphere is quite fun.  However, does this decision perpetuate a stigma that plagues the craft beer community?  That people who drink beer are underage, fratty, irresponsible, and otherwise looking to get drunk?

What are your thoughts?  Do you think DeSano Pizza Bakery made the right decision?  Let us know on Twitter.

**** UPDATE 6/10/14 > DeSano Pizza Bakery has reinstated their BYOB policy, but has banned kegs, coolers, buffoonery (drinking games)
