New Yazoo / Embrace The Funk Collaboration Beers

Last November, Brandon Jones of Embrace The Funk announced that he would be teaming up with Yazoo owner Linus Hall to brew a series of sour (or "funky") beers at Yazoo.  They showcased their first creation, a barrel-aged-sour version of Sue with cherries added called "Wild Child" at the 12 South Winter Warmer in December and today, Brandon Jones has announced (via his blog: http://embracethefunk.com) that he has been working on eight sour beers at Yazoo.  The line up includes a Flanders Red aged in 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon barrels (fermented with a custom blend of microbes), a 100% barrel fermented Lambic style beer, and a 100% spontaneously inoculated wild ale, among others that have yet to be announced.  While release dates are not set, Jones has hopes of a December 2013 release for the Flanders Red.  For more information, check out Brandon Jones' post here: http://embracethefunk.com/2013/01/15/some-yazoo-notes-and-the-dark-passenger-rises/
